About Therese

About Therese:

Therese began writing at an early age.  She wrote many stories in long hand, while still in grade school and shared them with some of her school mates.  Some of the girls did book reports on her stories, but thank goodness no one was ever caught!  Though Therese chose different areas of study as she got older, she continued to write, often in long hand-while bored in classes-and at other times on the Brother Word Processor she purchased while in college.  Therese holds a BS in political science, with a minor in psychology, and a Masters of Science in Education.

After obtaining her masters degree, Therese worked in the early childhood field, but her heart still belonged to writing.  In the years since graduate school and early childhood education, Therese has written novel manuscripts, short stories, children’s stories and poetry.  In 1998, Therese self-published her first novel, an adult drama, Betrayal.  She printed and self-published a children’s story, called The Desdemona, in 2000.  She has published three short stories, including India Falls in Lovewords Ezine (2001,) Afterwards, Pens on Fire Ezine (2006,) and Cigarettes, which was the lead story in the April 2007 issue of Crime & Suspense Ezine.  Her short story, The House on Ash Street, appears in LL Dreamspell's mystery anthology Mysteries, Dreams and Darkness.  Therese has also published poetry in The Poet’s Pen, the journal for The Society of American Poets.

Therese is now a stay at home mom, who gets to write when she is not carpooling for field trips or soccer games.  Her contemporary romance novel, Luther's Cross, is now available from Wings E press.

Therese has recently completed her third young adult manuscript.  She is hoping to find a home for her young adult work soon.  She also has a newly completed women's fiction manuscript called Fairytale.  Therese is currently working on a time travel romance and a new light-hearted young adult story.

Therese lives in the mid-western US with her husband and two children.
